Any professional interested in Health Geography may apply for research exchanges at EASP to work under the supervision of DEMAP members. During such stays, researchers will become acquainted with the most widely used techniques in Spatial Epidemiology and Statistics, collaborate on research projects led by DEMAP or start their own research projects with the knowledge acquired during their stay.

In recent years, DEMAP has welcomed researchers for short-term stays from the National Cancer Institute (Colombia), Sao Paolo University (Brazil), Campinas-Unicamp State University (Brazil), Newcastle University (UK) and the Epidemiology and Cancer Registry Centre in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), among others.

A number of projects have materialised as a result of this collaboration including PhD theses, scientific papers and publications - such as the Cancer Mortality Atlas for Colombia designed by the National Cancer Institute and the Agustin Codazzi Geographical Institute in Colombia - or the Guide to Work-related Cancer in Mallorca, published by the Regional Government of the Balearic Islands.

Professionals or institutions interested in any of these activities may request further information via the contact link on this web site.
