Professional career
Physician. Master in Occupational Health (McGill UNiversity, Montreal, CA). Since 1995 Professor in Andalusian School of Public Health. Since 2003 Coordinator of the Master of Public Health and HEalth Management and since 2005 of the European Master of excellence in Public Health: Europubhealth. Currently responsible for institutional relations for teaching coordination. Between the lines of work today, apart from those relating to the geographical distribution of mortality in small areas and its relationship to socio-economic indicators, it is conducting studies on disease burden (DALYs) in Andalusia and the attributable burden of disease risk factors. It is also involved in the implementation and development of HIA: impact assessment in health policies, plans and programmes in Andalusia.
