Over the last five years, DEMAP has led over ten research projects funded through competitive “calls for proposals” that have attracted national and international organisations. In addition, DEMAP has collaborated with other research groups in various multi-centre studies, some of which were conducted within the European Union.

The research lines promoted by DEMAP focus on the spatial distribution and evolution over time of healthcare indicators, defining new social and demographic scores//indices to characterise and classify various geographical areas, and designing statistical methods to analyse small-area epidemiological studies.
